The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) is a publicly funded independent organization of higher education institutions in Germany. The DAAD supports more than 100,000 German and international students and researchers around the globe each year. DAAD scholarships are aimed primarily at graduates, doctoral students, and postdocs. The scholarships usually consist of tuition fees, a monthly living stipend, and a flat-rate travel allowance. In many cases, health, accident, and personal liability insurance is covered.
- DAAD awards Short Term Research Grants for Ph.D. students and postdocs and 1-year Research Grants for doctoral students from almost all countries of origin.
- For a language course in Germany, you can apply to the University Summer Courses and University Winter Courses.
- Master's degree scholarships in Germany, in particular, for persons from industrial countries.
NOTE: DAAD provides a wealth of different scholarships. Interested students should consult the DAAD website to find scholarship and internship programs available to you.
